Court of Appeal, Second Circuit
Mark Tatum is the Staff Director of the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal. After receiving his J.D. degree from Louisiana State University in 1984, he served as law clerk for the Honorable Pike Hall, Chief Judge of the Second Circuit Court of Appeal. Subsequently, he worked as an associate in the law firm of Wiener, Weiss, Madison, & Howell in Shreveport.
He has authored several articles on Louisiana civil procedure: Questions about Answers: Problems with Answers to Appeals and Protective Cross-Appeals under Louisiana Procedure, La. Bar Journal, Volume 57, No. 5 (2010); Summary Judgment and Partial Judgment in Louisiana: The State We're In, 59 La. L. Rev. 131 (1998) (co-authored with the Honorable William Norris, Chief Judge of the Second Circuit Court of Appeal; and Revisiting the Supervisory Powers of the Louisiana Courts of Appeal, La. Bar Journal, Volume 41, No. 5 (1994). He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana State Law Institute, Code of Civil Procedure Committee.
